The boys had a great time fishing, and Mason got to use his fishing pole for the 1st time.




I think Matt caught the biggest fish this weekend!


I thought it was weird that there was 4 male ducks with the one female but this group of ducks were always together!











Can you believe I'm actually holding 2 babies at the same time?!?!
This makes me so happy!!
It seemed we had a revelation over the weekend and Mason has started to accept his Mommy holding other babies.
He was even upset when it was time for Tiernan to go to bed.
There may be hope for us after all!!!

 

We had to take the boys to their first amusement park!

The cottages had so much for the kids to do...they could've been entertained for a week!
I can't wait to come back here again!





We ended our weekend with a little educational trip to the place where Abraham Lincoln was raised.
Mason got to sit on a tractor much like the ones used in Lincoln's days, we watched the men working in the carpentry shop, and visited with the women who lived in the log cabin. 

He really didn't want to get off this tractor...

Our Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. Mason and Vince's Mini-Room Makeover.

The boys have been begggging for bunk beds for YEARS -  and to get ready for our next newest addition in November, we finally gave in to their pleas and they're now sharing a room! For not a whole lot of money, I think it turned out super cute.  I'll post the deets here if any of you are looking for a quick remodel for a shared brothers bedroom. The wall I did completely on my own, only using a tape measure, level, and razor blade!!  Originally I had wanted an authentic restored barn wood - but the $1200 price tag made me quickly change my mind.  Instead, I picked this up at Lowe's for less than $1 a square foot.  I had never attempted a project like this at all, but after watching just a few YouTube videos I felt like it was something I could certainly tackle on my own.  I did apply just a thin layer of additional glue before I put each peel 'n stick panel to the wall.  Total cost for this Driftwood Gray weathered wood wall was le...
