Our Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada.

One last getaway before our kids headed back to school and this one couldn't have been more perfect!  I highly recommend seeing these amazing Falls at least once in your lifetime!  We did all things tourist-y and I wanted to share some of our favorites if you're ever looking to take a trip North.

Our girls + kids weekend getaway, plus all the deets:
Also, girls trips are awesome - we had soo much fun!

If you're looking for a home to rent while in Niagara Falls that is gorgeous and perfect in every way, while also being within walking distance from most things then be sure to check this one out.  This was just enough off the beaten path that we could come back home in the afternoons and unwind while getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  Us girls sat on the porch and rested while the kids played in the hot tub, or on the tire swing in the backyard!  Here's the short list of our favorite tours and eateries.

A quick link to the house WE rented:  For a $40 travel credit copy and paste this link into your browser

If you're the type of person that LOVES the hustle and bustle - opt for the Sheridan Hotel, as it was right in the middle of everything!

Places we loved to eat:
Antica at Clifton Hill for delicious homemade wood fired pizza
Niagara Brewery - we loved their pretzels with cheese and the subs, the kids devoured the pizza.  Some of us also loved their local brews. ;)
Sweet Jesus Ice Cream at Clifton Hill - because who doesn't want to try ice cream layered in a bubble gum sauce paired with cotton candy?!!  I opted for the double chocolate with peanut butter...it didn't disappoint.
Country Fresh Donuts - so good, seriously just go there for soup and donuts.  TRUST. ME.
Taps Brewery - we went on a Wednesday and were pleasantly surprised with 25c wings, we tried Poutine for the first time, and they serve a delicious Fish n Chips.

Lots of other restaurants as well that we wanted to try but just didn't have enough time!  Hard Rock and Rainforest Cafe to name a few.

There are also a TON of wineries with kid friendly restaurants that came highly recommended - something that would be super fun to visit when traveling without the kids (and without being pregnant!)

No need for a rental car either!  We walked everywhere and if we didn't feel like walking, taxi's were on every corner.

Hornblower Boat Tours - once in a lifetime opportunity!  You'll never be closer to the falls.  MUST DO!!  You can buy tickets online ahead of time and save yourself the wait in line as well.

Visit Clifton Hill!
Lots of things for kids to do here!  The Guiness Book of World Record Museum, the Ferris Wheel, Mini Golf, Haunted Houses and the list goes on and on and on.  You could be on this street for a week and not see and do it all.

Bird Kingdom was also something fun for the kids to walk through, just steps from Niagara Falls - ideal if you have a rainy day or just need a break from the outside.

Our Home Away from Home for a few days:

Within walking distance of this rental was a FREE Splash Pad and Pool/Park - perfect for the kids!

And the houses to see on the way to the Park were like something from a magazine!!

 Our backyard!

The Secret Gardens of Niagara Falls - so pretty!

And then we made to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World!
What a view!!

It may not look like much but don't judge a book by it's cover
Country Fresh Donuts and More
The best Won-ton Soup AND Donuts we've had in a while - definitely worth stopping in!
and within walking distance from our house
