Here's my PSA for the day...
You Are What You Eat!!!!!
I'm on a new mission seeking healthy things in our lives...
or as Josh calls it,
"my hobby of the month!"
I ignore him.
Anyways, on a quest to feed my family only the best things I've started researching a little about the things we've been eating.
It's amazing how much hidden ingredients are in simple foods...stuff that shouldn't, and doesn't need to even be there...
but we eat away knowing no difference.
Just look up side effects of aspartame...it's awful.
I haven't had a sip of one diet coke in 3 weeks and I feel great!
Now, I'm not saying I'll never have another diet again, but I won't be consuming 2-3 a day like I had been.
Here's another example...
Cottage Cheese.
And all that should be in cottage cheese....
And here's another brand....what is all this stuff?!?!
We need to run far far away from anything with dextrose or maltodextrin in it!!
It's bad stuff!
And please people,
shred your own cheese.
There is a reason why it doesn't stick together in the store bought bags.
Eat butter. It's good for your skin.
Eat full fat foods.
No sugar-free, no low-fat, no fat-free.
None.
Ants won't eat margarine, did you know that??
Yet we slather it on our toast.
Yuck.
Don't eat margarine.
I've even been making my own salad dressings, and let me tell ya...
Ahhh-mazing!!!
I've got lots of recipes if you need it!
If you buy frozen chicken, make sure the only ingredient is chicken...
you'd be amazed at the stuff they inject into it.
Buy fresh if possible!!
Buy locally grown foods, contribute to CSA's, search for Non GMO food, etc. etc. etc.
So to all my friends and loved ones...let's start paying attention to what we're eating,
and especially what we're feeding our children.
