Pappaw does Pinterest

I've been wanting to get Mason a table for him to do his little activities on, eat at, and play on for awhile now.
He's starting to outgrow his high-chair and soon he will have a baby brother needing it anyways!
I found the perfect one over at Pottery Barn...
BUT
the price tage was outrageous ($200), here it is:
No way was I paying that...
I started searching for some ideas on Pinterest and then put my Dad to work!
He set out to make Mason our own little version:
He spent about $30 on wood, paint, and supplies and I found the perfect chairs and baskets (on Clearance!) at Target for super cheap!!

Here is our final product:


What do ya think?!?!?
I think it turned out beautifully, and Mason loves it too!
Even better it was handmade by my Dad and we'll have it forever :)

Our Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. Mason and Vince's Mini-Room Makeover.

The boys have been begggging for bunk beds for YEARS -  and to get ready for our next newest addition in November, we finally gave in to their pleas and they're now sharing a room! For not a whole lot of money, I think it turned out super cute.  I'll post the deets here if any of you are looking for a quick remodel for a shared brothers bedroom. The wall I did completely on my own, only using a tape measure, level, and razor blade!!  Originally I had wanted an authentic restored barn wood - but the $1200 price tag made me quickly change my mind.  Instead, I picked this up at Lowe's for less than $1 a square foot.  I had never attempted a project like this at all, but after watching just a few YouTube videos I felt like it was something I could certainly tackle on my own.  I did apply just a thin layer of additional glue before I put each peel 'n stick panel to the wall.  Total cost for this Driftwood Gray weathered wood wall was le...
