Mason's 2 year check-up!
He weighs 26 lb 10 oz (31%)
is 35 inches tall (75%)
and his head circumference is 19.75 inches (86%)

He loves to eat...he's not picky at all, and he loves milk!
He's started using 2 word phrases, which is making communication with him much easier.
He has a hard time sharing...something the pediatrician says he will learn in time!
Here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about...


He adores anything that flies, sails, drives, digs, or mixes.  I find myself pointing out vehicles while we're driving ("Look!  A firetruck!") -- and I can easily kill 30 minutes just watching a construction site.  Tiny cars and trucks have taken over our house, boats line the bathtub, and there is now a train track in the middle of our living room floor.
It really must be hard wired!

Clothes shopping is pretty easy...something I think would be much harder if we had girls around here!  We have a choice of pants (cargos, jeans, and cords), shorts, and T-shirts (long sleeved or short sleeved).
There are no outfits.
Everything, essentially, goes together!
This has saved me hundreds of dollars and hours upon hours of extra time in the morning.
Not to mention there is total lack of clothing drama going on in this house!

I'm surprised at how quickly I've mastered the names of  The Thomas trains, I can build a ship out of blocks, and I know my dump trucks from the diggers...who knew having a little boy could make you interested in these types of things ;)

He knows his guns....seems like he's known from birth.  He will turn anything from an empty toilet paper roll to a finger into a weapon.  And he loves to "shoot"
He really loves it when we play dead or act injured...and we did not teach him this!

He loves kisses and hugs and snuggles.
Especially those from his Mommy.

Our Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. One last getaway before our kids headed back to school and this one couldn't have been more perfect!  I highly recommend seeing these amazing Falls at least once in your lifetime!  We did all things tourist-y and I wanted to share some of our favorites if you're ever looking to take a trip North. Mason and Vince's Mini-Room Makeover.

The boys have been begggging for bunk beds for YEARS -  and to get ready for our next newest addition in November, we finally gave in to their pleas and they're now sharing a room! For not a whole lot of money, I think it turned out super cute.  I'll post the deets here if any of you are looking for a quick remodel for a shared brothers bedroom. The wall I did completely on my own, only using a tape measure, level, and razor blade!!  Originally I had wanted an authentic restored barn wood - but the $1200 price tag made me quickly change my mind.  Instead, I picked this up at Lowe's for less than $1 a square foot.  I had never attempted a project like this at all, but after watching just a few YouTube videos I felt like it was something I could certainly tackle on my own.  I did apply just a thin layer of additional glue before I put each peel 'n stick panel to the wall.  Total cost for this Driftwood Gray weathered wood wall was le...
