Since I've been loving every second of my oily journey the last almost 2 years, I felt like a blog post was looooong overdue!
So here's a little about my Young Living essential oils journey...please keep me in mind if you or any of your family/friends are interested in learning more! I'm so passionate about these little bottles of oils and would love to help you get started on a journey of your own.
The first time I ever heard about using essential oils was through a friend on FB. I wasn't really sure what they were and at first they seemed a little hokey to me and I didn't give them much thought. But after a friend took the time to really help me understand what they were, why I might want to give them a try, and how best to use them I decided to take a second look!
The best part of this essential oils journey for me has been our online groups Essential Exchange and Drops of Joy. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have the right kind of support when you are starting out. There is also no regulation for how an essential oil is to be extracted. Companies are free to use high heat, high pressure, and chemical solvents to extract more from the plants, and still slap whatever label they want on the oil.
In fact, the majority of essential oil companies buy their oils from a broker. The company isn't actually involved in the process of cultivating the plants or extracting the oils at all.
