2015!!
A whirlwind of a year so far, just like they all seem to be...we've been busy with soccer, baseball, landscaping our yard, growing a garden, taking care of our hens, installing a pool, and spending lots of time playing! The kids are growing like weeds and love to be outdoors.
My sweet little Vince loves going to the beach and building "can sassles," and is by far the most mellow and happy kid ever. He wakes up happy and stays that way. He says "Love you more" at bedtime and gives kisses to anyone who will hold still long enough. He loves to snuggle and drink his chocolate milk while we sit next to him on the couch. He's a charmer in every sense of the word, and his smiles melt me. He knows just when to flash that grin to get himself out of whatever trouble he's been brewing. He can count to ten and loves to watch Peppa Pig. Given the option, he'll always ask for a hotdog no matter what meal of the day it is!
Mason is excited to start a new preschool in August, where he'll get to go to school with Jaidie. He's one of the most determined little boys I've ever met and will not turn down any challenge. He's super smart and can't wait to have homework and carry a backpack. He learned to swim in one day from lessons given by Jaidie (who has more patience than a saint) and improves each day. He never stops (ever!) and I wish I could bottle just one ounce of his energy! He loves to play with Pokemon cards and can count to 100, can read and write his name, and is starting to recognize sight words. Loves steak, BBQ pork, and chicken...he's a carnivore like his Daddy!
Jaidie is our Mother hen of the house and can boss the boys around like no other! She helps me make them meals, picks up after the boys, and loves to play school. She reminds me a lot of myself...and is always wanting to organize activities for the younger kids. She loves to bake and has gotten pretty good at reading a recipe and measuring ingredients...brownies are her fave! Our little Jaidie loves the the water and has the tan to prove it (despite SPF 50 applied constantly!) She lives on cinnamon rolls and mac n cheese but will eat her veggies if she's trying to win the game of "Who wants to be in the clean plate club?!" She's my little sidekick and definitely helps me keep the household going smoothly. She loves to play dress up and pick out jewelry and makeup.

Josh has talked about this lake since the day I met him, and I was happy to finally get the chance to visit one of his favorite places as a kid.
A day of fishing and boating...and his scraped up face is a combination of shallow diving, a concrete wall that jumped out of nowhere, and a few too many Miller Lite....war wounds from a great trip, I suppose ;)
