All Things Halloween!!

We began our day with a field trip to the Plainfield Fire Station to celebrate Fire Safety Month...even baby Vince got to tag along!
The kids got a tour of a fire engine and ambulance and LOVED it!!
Josh's childhood dream of becoming a firefighter has been rekindled...he was waaaaayyyy more into it than the kids ;) 
Too bad the pay stinks :/ 
Sorry honey, you'll have to stick with finance!
 
But since it was Halloween, the kids put on their costumes and we paraded ourselves from the daycare to the firestation (about a 15 minute walk in 35* weather.)
The sight of us was comical I'm sure...



 



 





 




We dressed Vince in the outfit Mason wore on his first Halloween and he filled it out nicely.
I'm gonna have to go back to Mason's baby book but I have a feeling that Vince is bigger!
 

He's so blond!!
And look at those neck rolls...I love them :)



We changed Mason's costume and headed over to Brian's for trick or treating!!


 Brian's pumpkins were amazing!
 
Jaidie was a skull princess :)






 
They got way more candy than they'll ever be able to eat and had a great night!!

Our Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. Mason and Vince's Mini-Room Makeover.

The boys have been begggging for bunk beds for YEARS -  and to get ready for our next newest addition in November, we finally gave in to their pleas and they're now sharing a room! For not a whole lot of money, I think it turned out super cute.  I'll post the deets here if any of you are looking for a quick remodel for a shared brothers bedroom. The wall I did completely on my own, only using a tape measure, level, and razor blade!!  Originally I had wanted an authentic restored barn wood - but the $1200 price tag made me quickly change my mind.  Instead, I picked this up at Lowe's for less than $1 a square foot.  I had never attempted a project like this at all, but after watching just a few YouTube videos I felt like it was something I could certainly tackle on my own.  I did apply just a thin layer of additional glue before I put each peel 'n stick panel to the wall.  Total cost for this Driftwood Gray weathered wood wall was le...
