8.26.12 - 9.4.12

Well the last 1.5 weeks have gone by in a whirlwind!
We've added an adorable little member to our family and it's been wonderful and amazing and exhausting all at the same time. 
We have good days and bad days around here.
I think overall the good days are winning (Vince is a great sleeper and eater and all around patient baby) but when we have bad days, they are BAD!
Example A of a really really bad day:
Last night, Mason climbed up into my car, and since I can't lift him yet I ran into the house for Josh.  
In the 30 seconds it took for him to get out there, Mason managed to lock himself inside the car with the keys. 
I was in tears.
Josh was furious.
Mason was digging through my console eating chewing gum and wearing my sunglasses...having the time of his life!  When we asked him to press the unlock button he laughed hysterically and yelled NO!
The police were called to help and just as they pulled up, Mason magically hit the unlock button and was rescued.
Soooooo...yesterday went down as a big fat FAIL :/
And we definetly won't be winning any "Parent of the Year" awards any time soon!
 
Oh, but one day I'm sure we'll laugh about this...maybe once I'm getting 8 hours of continuous sleep I'll see the humor in the situation.
 
On a positive note, Mason has surprised us all by showing that he is an AMAZING big brother!
He is absolutely terrific with Vince and
calls him "Baby Brother Bince."
He loves him, and wants to kiss and hold him, and hasn't shown even an ounce of jealousy.  I'm so proud of the little guy :)

Vince doesn't seem too interested in his ba-ba yet, but Mason sure loves it!
He steals it away any chance he gets.

Typically, you can find him wearing it no less than 4 days a week.
We have to beg him to take it off for baths and bed.
And I find myself washing it every evening :)

Our Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. One last getaway before our kids headed back to school and this one couldn't have been more perfect!  I highly recommend seeing these amazing Falls at least once in your lifetime!  We did all things tourist-y and I wanted to share some of our favorites if you're ever looking to take a trip North. Mason and Vince's Mini-Room Makeover.

The boys have been begggging for bunk beds for YEARS -  and to get ready for our next newest addition in November, we finally gave in to their pleas and they're now sharing a room! For not a whole lot of money, I think it turned out super cute.  I'll post the deets here if any of you are looking for a quick remodel for a shared brothers bedroom. The wall I did completely on my own, only using a tape measure, level, and razor blade!!  Originally I had wanted an authentic restored barn wood - but the $1200 price tag made me quickly change my mind.  Instead, I picked this up at Lowe's for less than $1 a square foot.  I had never attempted a project like this at all, but after watching just a few YouTube videos I felt like it was something I could certainly tackle on my own.  I did apply just a thin layer of additional glue before I put each peel 'n stick panel to the wall.  Total cost for this Driftwood Gray weathered wood wall was le...
